i have joystick installed but it wont work on bf2

how do i get my winfgman extreme logitech to work on bf2 when i go to options it just has options for mouse and keyboard for planes and helis

what should i do because i want to use a joystick for flight, i have played bf2 with keyboard flying but i wanna try something new

Click on the secondary key box and re-assign it by pushing the appropriate button on the joystick.

For example. For Primary Fire, click in the secondary button box, then push the trigger button on the joystick.

THE YAW PITCH AND ROLL WONT WORK CAUSE I CANT SET THEM BY MVOING THE STICK RIGHT AND LEFT, It wont let me change the amount of thrust either, only the buttons are allowed to be used not the actual moving parts

please help
