Locked at 15 fps?

I'm having a problem that apperared out of nowhere.

I am locked at 15 FPS (this is the FPS I get when I use the renderer.drawfps 1 command). Nothing I do seems to change this, I was running >60 FPS until this problem occurred.

I have tried looking for various solutions (game.lockedfps command set to 0),also I see someone recommened deleting the cache folder but I dont have a cache folder anywhere!

Anyone got any ideas or is a full re-install on the cards?

System specs: AMD 64 3000+, 1 GB RAM, 6600GT 128MB

Do you have vsync enabled? If so disable it.

Vsync is already off by default.

Make sure your textures are set to medium. 1GB of ram is simply not enough. Also make sure your video and motherboard drivers are installed and up to date.

If you've successfully entered a game, you will have a cache folder located at:

C:\Documents and Settings\Shamus\My Documents\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\cache

for BF2 and for BFSF, the folder is located at:

C:\Documents and Settings\Shamus\My Documents\Battlefield 2\mods\xpack\cache

But since your name ain't Shamus, you will have to change that. :p
