    X600 Radeon crash

Hi, I've got an X600 Radeon on my PC and I've just this morning recovered the entire machine to factory settings. All the drivers and stuff are installed so don't worry about that, but I've installed BF2 and the 1.2 patch and when I launch it the screen goes black (Like normal) for about 10 seconds and then quits to desktop.

    What does anyone recommend?

I'd recommend waiting for 1.21 patch.

I had the exact same problem. Fixed the problem by reloading SP2 for Windows XP. It appears that sometimes dling the Catalyst driver for your Radeon can corrupt your DirectX files.

Google SP2 and pick through till you find a site that'll let you load it. Windows autoupdate won't give you the file if you've loaded it before.

DO NOT REMOVE SP2, just dl a the new file and patch.

You need to use DriverCleaner3 to remove the current video drivers and install the latest video drives from ATI:

Thanks for your help but I don't understand what you mean, what do you mean by "reload" service pack 2? and looking through Google instead of downloading it officialy doesn't sound coshure.

            Thanks

I think I pretty much explained why you have to google for it in my original post.

Windows Autoupdate will detect the previous files and not give you a link to load it.

Either way it's how you have to fix it. Or you can pay Microsoft to tell you heh.
