Pre patch 1.2, being in a blackhawk crew as a medic, support or engineer virtually guaranteed you high points. Being a good tank/apc driver you will rack up points. If you can fly planes competently, pre 1.2 that meant lots of points, and still does, just not as many as before. Being a medic or support trooper on city map, healing or handing out ammo bags is still a pointfest. There are those that care about stats and leaderboards, and those that don't, if you're having fun as you are, then don't worry.Originally posted by Rambo-82(NOR)Comment

Usually if th TOK clan turn up I bail the server cause the game always loses its fun.

Keep in mind, it has nothing to do with your "ownage" (i.e., vocabulary that 13 year olds use frequently...) There is a bug in BF2 where if one person starts a vote for a map or a kick whatever, it will automatically cycle through the entire roster that is playing on that partucular server.Comment

I really appreciate all of the support you've all shown me here!
Drain - I had a hell of a lot of fun in that Gunship with ya - Ivanhoe managed to kill me several times last night so I will need to plot my revenge!
I think it's a good idea to always take some time to evaluate new players and I'll be the first to admit that there is a lot I have not yet mastered in this game.
I only started playing BF2 again last week after a 5-6 month break... I've only ever played the Ground Units, I've never played as commander and I couldn't fly a chopper or plane to save myself. Further more, my Kills per death ratio is less than 1.0 because I've only ever played alone on public servers in the past and I've never taken the game seriously or worried about staying alive - the most I've done on BF2 is muck around really.
Nonetheless, having participated in the wtfpwning of clan BLITZ on their training session last night, I have to say that I've not had so much fun in a long time. Playing with a squad of good, reliable team mates who communicate with mics is a whole different experience.
A little background: I'm 30 years old, ex US military, living in the UK as a Business Manager now. Got wife+kid and been playing online FPS and RTS games since the days of Quake2, Red Alert, TA, Half Life 1, TFC, Old Counter-strike beta 0.1 (LOL). I have only made time to play CS: Source lately but I've played in MANY online clans over the years, some pretty good, some amazing.
From everything I've seen, TOK are an excellent clan with some truly excellent players and I would be delighted to play with you guys and add value where I am capable of doing so!
So if we really are that agressive.. People wouldn't even want to join.. And I think I haven't ever seen you on a server.. Maybe you are mistaken for another clan.. I think i saw another clan tha goes by TOK. We alway's work as a team.. And about poor sportmanship what do you mean by that.. If I'm in a plane *I suck in a plane* but I'm learning and somebody walks up to it.. Who I know is a good pilot... then I'll get out for him.. talk about sportmanship .. If someone wants a ride I'll pick em up even if I have to go back.. If I see some poor Bailing pilot swim in the sea.. I'll pick em up with a Boat or BH ..I think you really have no Idea what you are talking about.. Maby you should join the Pathfinder server.. and see for yourselfe.. Sure sometimes a little agression but that's over Teamspeak or Voip// and if you don't like that get out of the squad.. But once agian I say I haven't ever played with you.

i also got accused of "stat padding".... and was banned for it.. by admins.. guess i ****ed them off too much for killing 'em multiple times.. thats stat padding?... luky you u had admins behind ur back.. i had 'em kick me out instead... American Warriors server admins WAKE UP, patch 1.2 = PK sniping=posible...Comment

Funny to find something on this subject, it happened to me today on a German Drunken-Seals server. I was just using a PKm to frag some people in the afternoon break and suddenly multiple people try to kickvote me out. I asked what the reason was and they said "hacking".
I was amazed, because I have never cheated before and this server had PB, it was Pure and they have taken 5 PB Screens of me, which are all proper (I enabled to option to save a copy localy, so I can see whenever I get screened).
A comnpliment you could say, but I had to entire round an nag line of text in my screen with all the votes. I never got kicked ofcourse, but it was quite annoying.
If someone was on that server today and realised, feel free to contact me and I will show you the PB Screens if you still don't trust it. Anyway I just had to post this, because it hardly happens to me, but this was completely crazy.Comment

Look, I myself would like to see you take the time to type out your story, ok. Just coming on here and saying They tried to kick vote me because I scored really doesnt tell us much and is a waste of your time as well as ours.
The way I see it if I dont get at least one kick vote started on me each session Im not really playing hard enough. Its the silly stuff that gets me going, like getting kicked for not being in a squad, while in a squad. Then I went right back to the same server and started a squad called "dont kick me". So of course the admin asked me about it and all I said was "dont kick me Im in a squad". All I did after that was finish that map, 2 more rounds, and leave.
See, sometimes the story is entertaining. I will tell you I always read them and it does influence where I go to play. Usually I will go and check it out for myself. I guess Im into details but thats just me. . . . . . . . . .RedComment
