patch 1.2 from this site

The patch for 1.2 from this site states that it will work on any version of battlefield 2.

I have had problems with my old run of 1.2 so i tried to reinstall battlefield 2 and do a clean patch from the very original version.

Now my screen goes black and tries to run the game but doesnt. Before i had this and a solution was to delete the battlefield folder in mydocuments folder.

BUT the patch i downloaded from here doesnt give me ny confirm dialogue just exts silently, so i think it doesnt work. Can someone tell me if there is a success dialogue box on this patch.
I do have 2gb+ space on the install volume and it isnt the original path.

any help there guys, i dont want to try downloading the whole patch again. I really want to play this game again...

Did you use the 300+ MB full v1.2 patch after reinstalling?

Sometimes a bad download is the cause of patching problems.

You need to clear the cache from the BF2 folder in your My Documents. Then download DriverCleaner3 Pro and use that to remove the video drivers you have and re-install the latest drivers for your video card.
