Chopper Spawn Time Survey...

Wake island is 70 seconds.

On Sharqi.... the cobra is 30 seconds, and the havoc is 40 seconds.

Oman is 30 seconds for both.

Dalian is 30 seconds for both.
I'd like you to all help me today if you can ?
I want to conduct a survey and i need some data.
I'd like to know the spawn time for the attack choppers on the following maps.
That includes all vanilla, special forces and euro forces maps with choppers on (no night maps.

Map List

Dalian Plant (30 secs)

Daqing Oilfields

Dragon Valley (20-30 secs)

Fushe Pass (15 secs)

Gulf of Oman (30 secs)

Kubra Dam

Operation Clean Sweep (13-14 secs)

Sharqi Peninsula (30 secs)

Zatar Wetlands

Wake Island (70 secs)

Ghost Town

Mass Destruction (15 secs)

Surge (90 secs)

Operation Smoke Screen

Taraba Quarry


Best Method

When complete we will have an accurate database of times for each map, so please help if you can, if your going on a server today get a watch or clock with seconds on, get in a chopper and when you crash quickly check your time piece and respawn at the heli pad.
As soon as the chooper respawns check your watch and calculate the seconds it took.

Then post your findings in this thread, i will edit this post to add times and names of supplier.

It spawn very very fast in that map. In the other maps, it takes much more time. Dunno yet, but my guess is 30~40 secs.

Dragon valley's pretty quick about 25-30 seconds

Do your own homework. In the time it took for you to type your message and post this thread, you would've loaded BF2 and been on your way to verifying those spawn times...

some servers speed it up.. dont know if they are allowed or not

Thing spawns 3secs after i spawn and other servers same map same tank/air whatever spawns 12 secs or longer after i spawn...ranked server

if you know a bit about modding, you can look at the config files in BF2 mods folder. It has all the details. Go look at each maps config file, it has all the object variables, including vehicle spawn times.

surge has to be alot more than 60 seconds. its more like 2-2.5 minutes.

On FuShe pass it is very fast, about 10 - 15 seconds after you spawn again.

That's untrue.

We don't have access to any of the files or any options to change the spawn time of vehicles. It can't be changed using any admin software like BF2CC.

On cleansweep the heli's spawn before you can respawn.

just beacuse you do not have the files doesnt mean it isnt done or cant be done. Look at the hacks made for bf2.. I havnt seen many servers like this but they do speed it up some how.. kind of fun.. you spawn then in 2-3sec whatever you had spawns other servers much longer.. and no spawn time isnt longer

Cleansweep - 13-14 Seconds.

As said above, it respawns before you can even respawn.
