    weapon damage

    alright guys,

sorry if this has been asked before or if its in the wrong section.

can someone explain to me why i can shoot someone loads of times, with any hand held weapon and they don't die(sometimes takes more then 10 shots). and when they shoot back i die within 1-2 shots. i'm not a noob to these sorts of game, is there a patch or something that i've missed(not cheat!!)
even head shots take 3+ shots to kill someone. .
please don't tell me this game is full of cheat users, as i really enjoy playing it.

    cheers

No cheaters as long as you are playing a ranked server (I think some unranked have PB off so there could be some.) What is your ping like to the server. Sometimes I shoot stuff but my ping is high so the bullets go right through. Its really funny when my AT missles go through a tank but kills troops on the other side of it.

i only got this tip: if you see someone don't hold you mouse button, fire in bursts, when i first played this game, i just holded that button and not one bullet hit but now i play 'controlled'

Semi-out or single shot is preferred. I had some situations when I fired a TOW and it went right through a tank and he ended up killing me. That sucks:cry:

          don't use P90 or G36C, use G3.

No way, man - the G36C and the G3 are two of the most accurate guns in the game (except of course for snipers). The P90, however... we let's just say if you're not within 20 feet, don't even bother.

dont rely on head shots 100% of the time..even if you have them lined up for a head shot 90% of the time it ill miss.
Also..people never consider med bagts on the ground..
play medic, sprinkle med bags around ya feet..then enter a fire fight.
you might drop to 25% health but a quick step to the right or left over a bag equals 100% health again. Thsi rocks when trying to snipe a sniper..hit me with the M95 and think one more pistol or m95 shot will put me down, nope 100% life again when I pop my head back up =D

single shot G36c was by far the best single shot weapon vs. sniper rifle before patch IMO.
Still great gun do to such a tiny recoil. A few Pop, Pop, Pop single shots from a distance will fidn there mark with a G36C 99% of the time.
Oh and my experience Ive found that recoil will send the muzzle up so putting the enemy not in the iron sight but just above it will guide the bullets up into them as you fire repeatedly.

fastcar, you need to know how the BF2 weapons' bullets spread.
The best way is to create your own empty server.
Fire every weapon against the wall that you can see the bullet holes.
try different stances, distances, single/burst/full auto and then rambo style.
for ex, you need to prone and shoot which is best for PKM. gun running shoots no poopoo for that.
and G36C and shotguns has better gun-N-run ability.
Then, try singleplayer and shoot your team(easier :)) and kill everything that moves asap. you can also figure out how much you should lead your sniper rifle there.

For every new FPS game, the first thing to do is something like i said above. know your weaponS first. chheers.

                        Re: weapon damage

I've had this happen to me too. I could unload a pistol into someone's back at close range and then they turn around and kill me with one shot. Or I'll go full auto on someone just standing there at close range and I'll see 10 hit marks appear on them before they die. I'm guessing it's lag since I shoot a lot better at mid range in controlled bursts rather than upclose full auto with my sights down as if half my bullets aren't registering.
