Stat padding is when people work together with players from the opposite team to get points quickly - i.e. kill/revive/kill/revive. Obviously you would need several guys for this - one to be the victim, one to revive him, and one on the opposite team to kill him. Often times they will camp in an obscure part of a map and kill each other over and over.
