Some people are glory hounds, show offs, or are so self-centered and ego-centric that they hate to allow anybody else in on 'their fun'.

We need more good single player jet and helo sims to get these people outta BF2. Anybody remember Jane's Longbow 2? Man, THAT was a game...

If you point the chopper nose down a little and to the left it will not spin when you switch seats. Alot of people can TV by themselves but few can hit the target everytime. I'm about 50% on stationary targets and 20% on moving, unless it's a map I know well like Sharqi then I can pretty much hit either chopper pads consistantly, but you have to know the respawn timings, which is about 23 seconds on that map.The opposing chopper well never leave the pad.

Yes that is true but if you stay out of the stingers range you are good to go, and if he happens to fire stray stingers in your direction...... well seeing that the MEC stinger site is right inline with the Flag at thier chopper spawn (making it a very easy target for a TV missle) that will be a quick 2 points.

Theres a lot of times you are the only one in the heli anyway so it pays to be able to TV competantly. Its easier to TV from distance than to dive right into the fight and give the other team a good chance to target you. Makes perfect sense to me. Also with only 8 missiles its a wee bit harder to take out a tank and then AA on the way through. Top heli pilot mastakillachilla does exceptionally well, most people give up flying when hes around hes so good at it.

ive seen people do this effectivly and i could care less. as long as they go unopposed dumbasses can do whatever they want, that being said, a good 50 cal gunner/jet/attack heli can finish one of these nuttas up in a jiff.

and the missle is obviously being corrected mid-course

all I can say to those pilots is WOW - wish I could do that
and in fact - often compliment those playes in game

but when I see a helo NOT spinning
and TV missle has NO correction -
just a laser accuracy (ie NO swerving at all of smoke trail on a moving target)
and pilot says - hey "I have a gunner"
and as admin I can see he does NOT have a gunner
once the missile is fired, it fires straight, even if the chopper is spinning. its not being corrected mid course. if there is only 1 person in the chopper, as soon as he switches to gunner it will start to spin. if it doesnt, he has some sort of hack. unless hes aimed the missile, fired it and changed back to pilot straight away, letting the missile guide it itself to the target which is impossible on a moving target

if you are in a slow dive the chopper wont spin, it all depends on the attitude of the chopper. you can aim the chopper almost straight down, fire a tv and guide it to its target and jump back in the pilot seat and the chopper wont have spun a bit. if the chopper is "flat" as in perpindicular to the ground, it will spin and gain altitude.
