Motherboard ?

right now i have a p4 2.5 ghz w/1 gig or ram, and 6800 for vid card, and 450 watt power supply. I'm curious to what kind of motherboard, and cpu processor should I get. Also I have AGP don't feel like buying a new graphics card that is pci just yet. I don't know a lot about computer, but I know enough to change the stuff out myself. I was also wondering if it is good to get an external hard drive, and put all my bf2 stuff on that, and only that. Would it help?

Well it depends if you want a intel 478 or 775 socket, but u want the 775 dont you . For about $300AUD (sorry dont know american) you can get a 3.2ghz intel p4. I dont know what kind of motherboard but it depends if you have sata harddrives or not, what kind of ram and heatsink (heatsink will come with new cpu)

I got an external hard drive and its a waste of money. The hard drive connects via usb 2.0, that means it takes ages to load every think!

ill recommend any mobo from the Asus A8N family:normal, deluxe, or premium. But those are socket 939 so you will have to switch to good ol AMD processors!!
