    VOIP Help

Ok, 1st my problem, I have be unable to get VOIP to work in game. I have done the VOIP config exe in the BF2 folder, also config it in the Options section, sometimes, it works before i join a game, i can do the test and everything work ok, but then when i join a game, the little icon next to your name that shows the speaker, is never there ! after several times of doing differnt config settings and everything i could think of, I had it work, and i was talking to my squad leader for say 5 mins, then i didnt hear anything from him again.. so I checked and the Icon was gone again, I then disconnected from the server and checked the options, but everything was disabled and i could not select to enable it again till i restarted BF, but still then once i joined a game it didnt show the Icon so it paused out of game and checked it, everything was disabled again.. I can not talk nor hear anyone "chatting" in game.

I read around in the forum a little but still could not find any answers, but i did notice someone said that he/she was having problems with VOIP and was wondering if it had anything to do with the IP that it uses. I use a router/hub with 7 different computers networked in my home, my computer actually draws a "HUB" ip, instead of your internal IP, i once had this problem when running my own web server, and i ended up just putting the server on the HOST computer so that it used the external IP sothe site would work. But im not sure if this would effect the VOIP since it doesnt effect BF, but VOIP do require a specific external IP connection thats why i was asking.

If anyone could please help, I have tried everything i could, even reintalling BF which everyone knows how long that takes. i was wondering if It may have to do with my sound card/drivers maybe? not sure ! | Realtek AC97 Audio | Driver version: 5.10.0000.5585 onboard sound |

    Thanks for your time!! |v|orph

    Re: VOIP Help

    Ok...my fix:

Load up your game and make sure that you are already IN the map and playing.
    Alt-tab to your desktop.
Run Windows' Sound and Audio Devices control panel.
    Click the Audio tab.
Under 'Voice', hit the 'Volume' button.
Make sure the check box under 'Mic' is selected and crank the volume up.
Click the 'Advanced' box under 'Mic' and check off the mic db boost.

    Alt-tab back in.
