2 Questions :)

Alrighy guys, I have 2 questions. One is, with the new patch I get a studder in performance. Its not connected with network, cause my ping is stable, seems to be something hardware. anyone know anything about that. Everything is updated, and here are my specs

AMD Athlon 2800+
1GB DDR RAM
Geforce 6200 AGP 8x

And here is my other question. With those specs, shouldn't I be able to run the game at higher settings than 800x600 all low?

Have you defragged yet?, and have you deleted the cache yet from my documents. i only noticed an increase in performance. my freind has the same pc but a 9200se, and he can play with 1024 768 all low.

I am a compulsive defragger...lol, so yea, done all that, no viruses or spyware, and nothing running in the background, and clear cache too...BF2 just doesn't want to run well on my machine even after I upgrade.

how many processes are running when you go into bf2? I had a virus once that wouldnt let me play online. im an avid reinstaller of windows lol, my cousin used my xp cd and took my regrestration, so now i have to reinstall every thirty days, so if possible try that. one thing id like to note is that the 6200 isnt much of a card these days, my x800xl is being handed down to my freind soon, as im going to athlon and nividia. try downloading fraps and find out where ur framerates are.

I'll check on my frames, and and the only processes I have running are windows ones, and my anti-virus software.

i have a worse system than you i think:
Intel pentium 4 processor 2.93ghz
512 RAM
Ati Radeon X300SE 128MB

and i can run on 1280x1024 mostly low effects and lighting on med, i do get quite a low fps but its usually quite stutter free after the first couple of minutes

Download Crap Cleaner and Registry Mechanic. I know that Os's degrade in performance over a period of time as so much crap fills up, that you suffer a performance loss, So I reinstall my OS once every year, Anyway, I'm not sure why some people just seem to run this game crap when their specs say otherwise.
