SF MAPS and Wake Island NOT WORKING???

this is really bizzare...

My game runs perfectly fine except for SF maps and Wake island. When I join a server or the map switches over to one of these, it disconnects from the server and comes back with a message that says something like:

This server doesnt allow a modified version of the game, please revert back to the CURRENT version...

I downloaded Patch 1.2 and I did the increment method...Could this be the problem???

That happen to me a bit ago I not sure what it is but I thing it must of been a mod or you mest with game files.

All I did was click INSTALL on the incremental 1.2 patch...Im not smart enough to hack my game or would I ever do so...Because cheaters are noobs. I didn't mess with anything.

reinstall evrething man bf2 sf all patch .. and 1.12

used to have this prob, then just did a clean reinstall and install everything

OH WAIT, I just had a thought...Werent they saying that I needed to apply the patch twice for SF....Do you think that would do it?

You probably have installed in the incorrect order.

Uninstall both, and delete all of it's files. Then reinstall in this order:

Battlefield 2
Battlefield 2: Special Forces
Patch 1.2 FULL

That will fix it.

certain MODS will change these files. So no, the incremental isnt what did it, a MOD did. Namely, either its the action v2 mod, the realism mod, or 21cw that does it. because after installing one of them.. OOPSies wake no worky

well sorry to say bro, you are wrong about that because I installed the FULL patch and it works fine now...I'm about 99% positive it was the incremental patch because I havent touched anything else with BF2, no MODS, no nothing. Im glad I finally figured it out, and thanks to all who responded.
