Could someone please answer these questions. They are good questions that could benefit the entire community.

#1. When playing on ranked servers, say you have a score of about 25... and you want to leave the game before the end of the match. If you leave early, will you get the points on your record? Or do the points, only send out at the end of the game?

#2. Do you need to have Special Forces, to unlock the "new weapons" such as the SCAR-L, and the L86 sniper rifle, and the P90, etc....

As for #1, I have only heard that you keep those points. I would like confirmation on that as well.

And #2, yes you need SF to get some of those unlocks, but there are new ones for vannila also.

1) You get the points/awards, if you want more information, search the forum. I've explained this subject in detail several times lately.

2) You can get 7 unlocks with vanilla BF2, and if you have SF, 7 more unlocks will be available to you, and the number of unlocks you get per rank up is doubled. The SCAR-L, L96, and P90 are all examples of 2nd tier unlocks.

Points are presistant even if you leave the round. You can varify this by joinging a server, score a point, leave, then rejoin. You will still have your point.

It's true with ranks as well. I've hit a new rank, exited, and was able to get my unlocks right away (after exiting BF2, then firing it back up). I didn't stay for the end of the round, but it had finished by the time I got logged back into my account.

I'm unsure about rewards, however.

Yes, you need SF to get those unlocks. That's the short answer.

There is a work around that is unintended, but not a breach of the EULA (apparently). I'd recomend not going for that tho. Lay out your money and support the franchise if you love it. 'Tis only fair.

If you go into a ranked server, get one kill or 1 point or teamkill one guy or get one team damage or whatever....it counts.

Yes, you have to get sf to be able to unlock the new unlocks...

What about if you get kicked from a server in the middle of a game !!.. was wondering cause it just so happend i was commanding and according to the admin (command whoring) and i was getting like 60-70 points per game before x2 on the win...
btw... just wondering if i still got my 40ish points that round or not cause i was kicked

If you're kicked at 65 points, you will get those 65 points, undoubled.

but in that scenario you obviously would not have recieved X2 for commander score because you didn't finish the round.

Well, if you get a bunch of TKs, then get kicked from the server, you still get those negative points, right? Yes, you do. Therefore, you get your positive points as well.

Cool, cool, I figured that i wouldnt recieve the x2 bonus cause it only happens when the round ends..

O one other question which i have read numerous times on the forum but still not sure! If you played up to Sergeant on vinnila BF2, and recieved 3 unlocks, then I went out and bought SF, should i get 1 additional unlock right after i installed it, or will it not count untill i gain another rank? Or do i have to play SF maps to get the unlock?

If you want to practice with the weapons kill someone using SF weapons, and pick up their kit.
I tried out SCAR and Flash Bangs this way.
