New unlocks not available?

Hi,

I recently hit the 20,000 points which gave me first sargent (i think), anyway, when i went to choose an unlock it only gives me the option to choose the old guns.

Do you need to unlock all the first set of guns before you can begin to unlock the new ones?

Yea, you have to have the old unlock to get a special forces one. For instance, if you wanted the Scar-L you have to have the G36C unlocked already.

No, i dont have the special forces pack, but i was under the assumption that the latest patch (1.2) included new guns. For example the P90 or the new Sniper rifle.

Maybe i got the wrong end of teh stick?

Yeah, do get the P90 and sniper rifle you don't need the xpack, I misunderstood you. Do you ahve the previous wepons unlocked(sniper and anti-tank)?

I have unlocked the following classes,

Spec.Op
Sniper
Assault
Engineer
Medic

I havent unlocked the Anti tank or Support.

Yes, you really do need SF in order to get ahold of the new toys.

I unlocked the G36c, and have been trying to get the Scar-L.... you telling me I have to buy special forces, because I can't unlock the gun!

Is it unfair to have to pay extra for AC in a new car?
Unfair to not get the Playboy channel with your basic cable?
Unfair to have to pay for popcorn at the movies?

SF is already going down in price at some shops. Suck it up 'n pick it up.
Here's a little shocker... EA is in the business of making money.

BTW, the extras in SF (maps, zip line, grappling hooks) are well worth the bucks, IMHO.

It's not fair because the special forces people get to play on the vanilla servers with their "alternative guns" while, the vanilla bf2 players dont get them. when I orginally bought BF2, I thought i would be playing against people who all share the same qualities. Instead, the special forces people should only be allowed to have those special guns on SF servers, or give them to everyone.

It is very fair!!! WE bought the xpack and you didnt yet you find an exploit (do a search) I 'bought' the xpack and the unlocks that came with it.....
Its like saying i bought a ferrari but cant race it against you cos want too keep your f00kin nova (if you know what a nova is)?
