crush back to desktop after the game loads...

ok, this is the first time that happened, and it seems to occur everytime, i hav played the game for a while and it never happened before, yes, it works in 1.2, but for some reason it just suddenly started to crush to desktop for no reason. i hav done nothing to the game, except advanced to staff sergent yesterday, and today, this bs just start to happen everytime i join a server.

right after i click join after everything loads successfully... a mouse appears and game crush back to desktop.

my comp meets the spec, i put everything on med at 1024x786 60hz. i got

amd 64bit 3000+
1 gig ram
6600 GT
nforce2 mobo
bunch of fans, pretty sure its not cooling or power problem, cuz the game runs fine yesterday.
enough hdd and good dvd reader

i appreciate anyone who wish to hint out wuts wrong, i mean, the game just... screw itself over for absolutely no reason. i dont realli want to reinstall the game and patch everything back, if its just some common bug. if no1 can tell wuts going on, im gonna reinstall everything, thx ea, you can lick my left balls for E, and right balls for A.

Did you say it never happened before patch 1.2? Because if you did it might be the patch thats causing the problem and if it is wait for the new 1.21 hotfix.

no it never happened before. i installed 1.2 a week ago, it worked perfectly fine until today, for some strange reason

Im getting the same thing-crashes after seconds of starting to play.

I also took out 5.1 surround sound and configured to se headphones, this may make something change in my sound card ? but i think its the 1.2 patch, just that it seemed to be ok with the 1.2 patch at first.

Please let us know if you have this problem. I dont have any mods or sf2.

I am having the same problem. I can load the game fine the first time that my computer boots up, but if I close out of the game then try to run the game again, it will not load. I then have to restart my computer and load the game up. This also just started happening in 1.2 after I leveled up. Hopefully it is just in the patch.

another of my symptoms is erratic ping sometimes resulting in my being kicked, the screen sort of jumps to another second in time, but my connection is really good. It is running through another computer running ICS (internet connection sharing) on xp service pack 2. The con is 2mbps and clean.

Please Please can i get 1.21 to sort this out....

it seem to hav something to do with audio system... my winamp stopped working the same day bf2 stopped working... this is just too weird.

i get a bunch of ctds at the start of rounds..me thinks its taking too much computer resources at the beginning since it has to load everything so that it crahses, but im not sure

when you reinstalled you keep your stats yes?

and you reinstall the patch 1.2.

did you play before doing the patch or restart your system after install then directly instal patch.
