BF2 and mods, question

1) These are just made up version by other gamers from the orginal game right ?

2) I just download/install mod , will it make a shortcut so i can still toggle between the mod verison and standard BF2 ?

3) Would i need gamespy to find my mod online servers ?

I am sure there are 1000 mods out there, any list of the top ones ?

3) Yes/No. You can use the server seach for the mod like bf2. Or if the mod is supported by gamespy then Yes if you cant find any in the search in the mod.

There isn't many major mods out yet, but there are loads of realism mods and some mods from the sir. community.
