Renaming BF2.exe

so i look at the BF2 optimization guide on here and was wondering on the part where u rename your BF2.exe to something else would it keep Special Forces from loading up (already have it installed).

I renamed it to bf21.exe and it worked fine but punkbuster kicked me sometimes

if you change the bf2.exe file, you need the change the link in the shortcut so it will still link to it. if the filename is bf21.exe and the desktop shortcut links to bf2.exe, it will not run, and the shortcut needs to be edited.

as for punkbuster, you prolly need to manually update your punkbuster client through www.evenbalance.com

my BF2 .exe is called -

"BF2a.exe"

shortcut = "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2a.exe"

saves the resources goodly.
