BF2 Official version?

Hi there,

Everytime I try to connect to a BF2 server an error message appear saying that I don't have the latest version of the game. My BF2 and Special Forces version show 1.1.2696-589.0. Can someone help me on this one?

You have to download version 1.2
FULL VERSION------------http://files.filefront.com/bf2+patch+12exe/;4762414;/fileinfo.html
INCREMENTAL-------------http://files.filefront.com/bf2+incremental+patch+112+++12exe/;4762120;/fileinfo.html
Get the full if you dont have any patches. get the incremental if you already have 1.12

Thank you for the advice. I actually have installed the 1.2 patch...but now I'm starting to think that the install did not work...I'm going to try again!

that is the correct version.
if the server name/info is in red, it's out of date. if they're all red, then you should download the full patch and try reinstalling it. if that doesn't work, try reinstalling the entire game.

The main menu will say 1.12xxxxx...that is just a bug. If you installed version 1.2, you're good.

I did install patch 1.2 and it does show 1.1.2696-598.0. So why does it keep saying that i have not the latest official version installed????

Please post the contents of the PATCH.ERR file located in your BF2 directory.

I would recommend an uninstall.

Then install from disc.

Then only install the full v1.2 patch.

Did you use the full version patch (300 MB) or the incremental patch (80MB)?

Where did you download from?

Did you do a MANUAL uninstall?

Ok, Ill try the manual uninstall... i used the uninstall from windows but i guess i did'nt go all the way up to the registry....I'll try this!

..and don't forget the manual file deletion.
