Jet Flight

Does anyone else have a serious problem with how incredibly SLOW the jets are able to move and maintain flight in this game? It's really annoying to hear a "locked" sound in your chopper for like 30 seconds as a jet gently eases up to you firing stingers the whole time.

They're like WW2 planes with jet engines :laugh: but you don't need to slow down to take out a chopper with your guns so you're screwed either way :evil:

I have seen this as well but I cannot do it. I took off of the deck in a heli and managed to avoid the barrage of missles and gunfire only to hover waiting for the jet to pass for a shot and find out that he was creeping along behind me. Same pilot got behind my Cobra. I flared and waited for him to pass and give my gunner a possible shot. I waited and waited circled around thinking I missed him. He was below me going slower than my heli.

I spent a few hours trying to replicate his results on an empty server. If I get below 400kts my plane goes into an unrecoverable stall. How is it done?

I would love to see jets actually go as fast as they go when throttle is 100%, but have like 0 manouvrability at full speed.

I don't have a serious problem with it. You just have to evade the missles in a chopper - it isn't that hard.

Yeah, the really good pilots will pick you off with guns.

Some pilots put their f35b into a hover mode. You sure it wasn't that?

You can also move the throttle on your joystick all the way down, then just "blip" it to prevent it from stalling.

Putting the F35 in hover mode is suicide you will get shot down by a pistol. Real pilots use the missiles then the guns to finish them off.

Only time i down a chopper with a jet now is if i am chaing a j10, and like always, the missle miss and direct to the closest thing in the air, usualy an enemy heli

LOL,

I'd give a Jet 30 seconds life expectancy by hovering. I'd rarely use AA to get a chopper.

I've met one chopper team that are so good they can be almost impossible to take down with a Jet.

Start a kickvote against your pilots if the enemy pilots are able to do that to you :)

We could add a 1/10 system, press W ten times to get full speed, press S 3 times after that to get 70% speed etc.

No it was one of the MIGs on Gulf of Oman. He was strafing the carrier non stop. One of our jets was destroyed on the deck and the other was circling uselessly around. Most of the time jets just blaze through and you see them more than hear them. This guy practically came to a standstill.

I tried dat everytime against chopper,
BUT 90% of the missiles would just bounce off and won't hit the chopper...even don't I get a firm lock on it.
