yup you need SF to unlock the new riffle so u can use it bf2 vannila,oh and u cant use it in SF.

so to play with a bf2 vannilla 1.2 weapon you need the game SF(that doesnt even use it)

yes it sounds wierd but im getting SF 2morrow,apparanly after u play one round you can get more freeunlocks.

we shall see 2morow,:)

Increased accuracy with the same advantage of power over the other snipers. The 95 is the one I choose.

to true :) nice and accurute now,just like m24 was in 1.12 and when i started this thread before (not version2)

most liked the m24 as it was accurate,well the m95 has 1.12 m24 accuracy now,and for me thats a bonus (ta ea) im liking the new stats in the poll to m95 is getting a few more followers,i guessed the new sniper would be the most popular(as its a nice rifle sweetcrosshair) but i still prefer the m95 its just so versatile and powerfull,though i have the odd dabble with svd and type 88,the accuracy improvment for those is verynice,

still cant belive no one has voted for the type 88 yeh u can only use it on some maps but there got to be a fan out there "comon type 88 fan where are you ? post now "

i think that the L96A1 is overrated because since it came out with new patch that made changes to snipers accuracy people all of a sudden thought it was just the L96A1 ....

i think the M24 is about the same as the L96A1

m95 is almost the same but the sights are bad

In general, I'm mainly using the L96A1 now, as I can use it regardless of what team I'm on. Before the patch, I was using mainly the M24 or M95.

I had another go with the SVD after the patch, and found it very useful in medium range sniping situations. I even had a successful round of Wake using the Type 88 since the patch.

yah i agree

i've always been a bolt action rifle man, semi-auto fire kinda cheapens the deal. I only used the l96a1 once (still have to unlock it), but when i did, i got 12 kills in a row, so easy to target heads with it, and i love how accurate it is with its TINY crosshair. [None of the people i killed were sprinting, so it was easy to follow thier wee heads from afar]

oh, and someone clarify, i play SF get some points, log out, then back in (or quit then start again?), and i can get more unlocks?!?!?!?!?

As I said it is as accurate as L96A1 when sniping up to 250m. I have now problems taking USMC soldiers from the arty island while laying behind the trees on the AA site closest the island With Type 88. I just checked the distance and it is 330m. With Type 88 it just takes few extra rounds to figure out correct elevation, and then u can start poping the enemies. But then again, the scope of L96A1 is better and of course I use that instrument in such cases. I can drop enemies over 400m with L96A1

My point is that when USMC has captured the first flag, it's time to switch weapon. When fighting on main island there are not too many cases when u need to shoot over 150-200m. Instead there are many cases where people are rushing towards u and u need to be quick and accurate on 50-150m.

When having your own peace near Chineese airfield with reliable Type 88, it is enjoyable watching some poor USMC sniper crawling on the ridge on the South cape near Beach flag. When he stops moving 1-3 shots and down he goes.I have tooked some kills with Type 88 while shooting from airfield up to South Base and that's near 400m.

Sniping is not magic, find the right elevation, keep your aim steady for a second and take the shot. That's it.

Only thing to bear in mind is to study your shot by keeping the fire button down so long that you know whether your shot was a hit or not.

Don't get me wrong, Type 88 is very accurate now. It's just not as consistent as m24/L96 are now. You can shoot at the exact same spot with it and still alternately hit and miss, which happens rarely with the m24.

WOW...

i bought sf yesterday and got my 5000 rank and unlocked the new L96A1 weapon,i was given 4 more unlocks after that ??

not that i use them scarl-l ,pkm,other g36 pkm thing and f2000.

buy i confess i spent 8 hours using the L96A1....
i lost 1% accuracy with it but got some sweet 350m kills the bullit drop seems a little lower (if u get me) compared to the m95 im used to.

i still like the m95 but it cool to have another option when playing mec now.

i find using the notches on the scope( L96A1) helps hiting a runing target verywell.

I voted the L96 just for the nice boom you get while firing it. I find that the m24 is equal, but the SVD has gotten much better also. I prefer the thinner lines that make up the m24 and L96. I don't touch the m95 these days because I rarely find my self lineing up a shot to take out a pilot or a driver in a car.

L96 is awesome, accurate and thin crosshairs. It beats the m24 becuase the L96 is British i think? The m95 is still over shadowed by the other rifles. The point was proven when i had a sniper stand off with someone using the m95 whilst i had the SVD, which is really good now btw. He'd be able to hit me but i could rattle off three /four shots before he was ready to shoot again. He was obviously aiming for my head but because of the lower accuracy and thick as bricks crosshairs it obviously proved to difficult for him.

I still like the M95, for two main reasons. First, I can make a helo driver's life a lot more interesting, and second, it has better magnification than my alternative, the svd.
