Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
Being as mods (that i know of currently) range from 1918 to the far future, it really boils down to whatever floats your boat setting wise. Ill be going to www.pointofexistence.com and will be trying out first strike (star wars mod) and Surreal mod. It doesnt hurt to try out them all to get a sense of new gameplay (Better gameplay that EA couldnt do).
No they dont affect your stats, stats mean nothing.
Yes they do change BF2 and BF2SF... the mods will be totally new free games that will take awhile to download. BF2 will just be the engine that supports it so you will need vanilla bf2.
I would take a look at Reality Mod (Mods don't affect your basic BF2, you run them seperatly). It is a series of minor changes to the game rules and weapon stats and encourages teamwork and proper tactics.
Desert Conflicts CTF has been updated to work wirh 1.2 aswell.
Desert-conflict.org I think the URL is.
That has not been released yet has it? My understanding was everyone that was playing it was a tester. Thought they were not going to release it until summer or something like that.
Please let me know if I am wrong because DC was the best damn mod out there for 42.
