    Call to Oder

    well - I think that is what the Commanding Officer use to say on Promotion day
    (it has been too long to remember)
    anyway
    for those that have been playing BF2 since last summer
    (back in the 'good ole days' when ranks were HARD to get :p )
    you may recall this PROUD DAD
    announcing that he (well, me) and his son earned Cpl on the same day,
    and in September, we earned Sgt on the same day
    well, yesterday he made CAPTAIN
    :salute: :salute: :salute: :salute: :salute: :salute:

    and as far as me making same rank on same day
    well, this old dog is just plodding along at a steady pace while he continues to improve on a daily basis

    thanks to all here in this forum for the many many great posts - they have helped us both enjoy the game to its fullest

        Weird, What'd I miss? Post #2 seems to have no relation to Post #1, what-so-ever.

        Cool story, TopGunGreg. Yer kid is a pre-teen and has made Captain. Wow, does he do anything else except play BF2?

                lame. Could you be the pre-teen he was refering to? Probably not but the thought was entertained.

                  I'm not sure who stole your sunshine, but I'm truly sorry you live this life of torment.

                    he is homeschooled and does very very well;
                    also an hour a day of jogging/running/sprinting;
                    he is an altar boy and in the church choir and
                    also very active in the community in several annual events

                    yes I am very proud of him in all regards
                    lucky me

                    and oh, btw,

                    his big brother is a Naval Academy Graduate
                    who just finished his training in TopGun
                    (to those that are more into real life details - the Naval Fighter Weapons School (hehe - I Think :P))
                    and is now the Tactical Training Officer for Super Hornet Pilots

                    sorry - getting off point for BF2 Forums
                    as I said -

                    just a happy dad

                      Nice to see another military family on here... my and my bro play BF2, my dad a CWO4 in the corps (about to retire) doesn't really like playing, but will just sit and watch sometimes (he considers it a good war movie) but, anyways...Naval Academy? I was thinking of applying to Annapolis myself...wont be for 3 more years though. As for my brother he got accepted into VMI (Virginia Military Institute, going in as a Marine Cadet of course) just two days ago.

                        That's "Attention to Orders" a command given when a award, unit citation or promotion is about to be given.

                          I never noticed I spelled it wrong in the subject line
                          well - maybe be that's why they call us "jarheads" :rofl:
