Can someone please tell me how to get rid of these things? I got mighty upset just now when i try'd to get on a roof top to clean out a nest of snipers with me good old G3 and just 1 of these poxy things placed in a door way stopped me from doing just that. I try'd shooting and blowning it up with a hand grenad's and neither did the job...
If there is a claymore at the top of a ladder now, you're screwed. I just tell a teammate to follow me up the ladder, I take the claymore in the face, and he climbs up behind me and nails the sniper.
Totally ridiculous in my opinion.
The claymores DO disappear after a very short time after you've managed to somehow snipe HIM off the roof, right?
I thought it was dumb that claymores and mines and everything could be blown up with grenades and other explosives... but it's retarded for them to be indestructable too... it seems to me like the logical thing would be to have engineers able to disarm them just like mines, and thus be immune to claymores... but of course they fix one problem and make a whole new problem
Mines, Claymores, and C4 stay out as long as the "deployers" kit is visible. After the deployer is killed thier mines and such stay out as long as thier kit bag does. Kit bag disappears, so do the mines, claymores, and c4 that had been layed.

Engines CAN remove them...problem is, it is impossible for an engie to remove a claymore pointed at the top of a ladder without some other way of getting up onto that roof. Impossible in vanilla BF2 without a helo drop...more trouble than a sniper is worth.
Why don't they give all kits a new command.
You have a key to pick up a kit, well how about a disarm key. You press it and then walk to the Claymore/mine (which doesnt go off) and then click pick up and the claymore /mine is disabled and removed.
It should take 4-5 seconds to pick up so you can't just run around spamming to pick up claymores. And if you don't pick it up after disabling then it goes off and kills you.
You can do this on a ladder as well. It would solve the Claymore problem, but still keep claymores as a good weapon against people who just charge in without checking the area.
No. Shooting it should do the job. Claymores, mines and yes even C4, if used for traps should be hidden. It's just not fair to put a Calymore right in veiw blocking the whole area and having absoloutley no way of destroying it (other than taking the blow or somehow driving a vehicle over it or something). Add that to the crazy number of snipers that think there all cool and unique and it's mayhem. I wouldnt mind if they set off if i shot them. Would make sense, it's better than nothing.
Besides, if a sniper uses it properly (which is to just use it for defence whilst camping) then if someone shoots it/nades it and it explodes. It's still some sort of defence as, unless there total idiots (which sadly 100% of snipers are) they will hear it going off or something and will be able to do something.
The whole idea behind a claymore is to be hidden. if you where walking through a war zone claymores would not be in the open so you could disarm them, they would be hidden and kill you when you get close or trip there wire. Since EA can not make them invisible we have to live with them.
But bring back the ability to destroy with 'nades.
I think the problem is that the game treats mines and claymores as the same thing. Being able to destroy a mine with a grenade is more imbalancing...so I'm sure that's why they went that route...because they are both linked.
