Project: SSI [Need Volunteers]

Hello everyone,

After getting into the mapping "scene" lately, I've decided to take on a big project.

I'm going to map out the city I live in, and then re-create it in BF2Editor. I live on an island that's connected to the mainland by a single 2 mile road that has 2 bridges, and inbetween is rivers and marsh, and the island itself is packed with trees, little streets, etc. It's [to me] the perfect place to make a BF2 map out of. It's called Saint Simons Island. It's located in south-east Georgia.

I've attached a picture taken from a plane of the island. It's not taken at a funky level, so the bottom is really is south, the top part is north, etc.

Who'd be willing to help out with this project? There's a ton more pictures but they're more detailed of the shops and stuff.

It'd be fun if you could scale some satellite images just right to have as the colormaps for the map. :)

Eh, I would help, but the amount of time that would take to model ALL those custom statics and get an accurate scaled size city would be too much time. Sorry mate :/
