Some Staff Officer trying to get more money for the Army at the expense of the RM said that his "guys" could do that job just as well as a booty ( mean the landings), so they were offered the chance (its filmed in Iraq btw). However they didn't do ANY beach/landing recon. The Royals knew what was going to happen cos they HAD done some recon, so they hung around to see and film the results!!

Work with a Brit Maj, and while cant confirm.... he states the event was staged. I had no reason to think he wasnt telling the truth, but he could have been mistaken.

Well he would say that mate to be honest because it was pretty embarassing for the pongos. I was told by one of the booties that was there at the time, thats how I know it wasn't exactly staged. It wasn't an insertion, it was the pongos showing that they could do it when they obviously can't !!
