joystick reverses?

so i busted out my Saitek ST290, installed it, and everything was fine. came back the next day, and my x-axis is reversed! if i go left, the jet turns right. and right = left. i tried reinstalling the driver, messing with the saitek profiler, cleared and reset the controls in BF2, and nothing. anyone have any input?

ahh man that would suck... you sure you are holding it the right way??? :laugh:

Try re-installing the drivers... doubt some wires got crossed. Something in there is confused.

did you set it up wrong in game? or hit invert mouse in game?

You set it up wrong.

In the setting menu, you should of moved the joystick back, to go up.

If you just moved the joystick any where then that's why.

I have posted this often
(no, I am not zingin you for missing it
it has been a few months back - just my way of saying this was a problem for many people)

there is often a bug in the setup for the joystick
when prompted for up - pull back
and the down will auto complete
if you do the 'down part' first - it will be AFU
same for left and right
(sorry - forget which way to do first
I think it is bank right, then left will auto complete)
if you do it wrong
(or I remember the wrong order)
all your ingame inputs will be as you noticed alerady

ive done the same thing in my joystick setup

it is a pain but just make sure you push the right direction as usually both up/down left/right will set up at same time

nothing more funny than finding out in mid flight that your directions are reversed try dog fighting then ... teehee

the up and down are fine, it's just left and right. i set it up right, because it worked fine for a day. the next day i went to play (and didn't even go into the controls at all) and it was reversed. damn ghosts!!! and no the mouse isn't inverted...
time for some more testing, thanks for the replies.


anyone else have any ideas?
