Okay, I am currently playing America's Army and I like it, but it doesn't have the depth that I want in a FPS. BF2 looks awesome, but I don't know if my machine will run it real well. My machine plays America's Army just fine, and can run Doom3 at Medium settings. Here are my specs:
AMD 2500 Barton
1 Gig XMS RAM
ATI 9600 256MB
Now, I should be fine on RAM and CPU. But I just don't know about my gcard. I downloaded the demo a while back, when BF2 was just coming out. It didn't run real well, but it was a demo and at the time I only had 512 RAM.
The only store around me that sells it is Wal-Mart. If I buy it and it doesn't run well, I am screwed. I can only return it for another BF2. So you can see my problem. Will my machine run BF2 at a decent level? We all know that games like this require instant responses from both the player and the computer. So I don't want to buy the game and stutter my way around, providing free kills for everyone else.
If you guy's could help me out, that would be great.
