    Re: battlefield 2 performance

1men your cpu is litle to slow
2your card is not to good - poor mem bandwith.
3have you turn off swapfile ?

you should sell this card and buy radeon x800 xl around 170 $ or 6800gt

      Re: battlefield 2 performance

A 128mb Graphics card may be the problem.
Cant offer anything on the Processor.

Which drivers are you using for your card?

          Re: battlefield 2 performance

There are two problems with your video card. First, it's only a 128mb card. A 256mb would make a world of difference with this game since it's a memory hog. The second problem with the card is the slow clock speeds. A vanilla 6800 (your card) does 300/700 (core clock speed/memory clock speed). That's good for medium settings at best, even with 2 gigs of decent RAM. The people with 6600's who are getting better performance are probably running 256mb 6600 GT's with faster clock speeds. I hate to say it, but you need a better card if you want to run BF2 at higher settings. I've got a 6800GS slightly overclocked (450/1150) and it runs BF2 on mostly high settings, high resolution, and good FPS. Mine is a BFG that cost me about $225, but you can pick up an eVGA card for $170 on Newegg.
