That's me, a noob. Now that we have that outta the way. I want to be a better noob

When starting a Wake Island match, I select my kit and join a squad then I spawn on the carrier. After a little while we have a few capped flags and I get whacked. I try to select a spawn point at one of our capped flags and the game will not permit the selection. So, I spawn at at the carrier again which is a HUGE waste of time getting back to the action.

How do I get to spawn on my squad leader like I do on the other maps?
Why are the capped flags not accessible as a spawn point? (yes, I did verify I was still in a squad, no green dot to select).

Once in a while the server will bug up and show you as a member of a squad, when you're actually not in it. The symptom for that is that you can not leave the squad or spawn on SL.

As for why you couldn't spawn on a spawn point. I assume the point was not red in color. But that asside, once in a while it takes some doing to be able to spawn. I'll usually just hit my enter key over and over again, brining up the kit selection screen and closing it. If that doesn't work, then I'd select a differnt spawn point, and then select the one I was having problems with again. If those aren't the case, then we're dealing with a PEBKAC error

don't know what is wrong with your game, but if you join a squad you should have two options after you die, either spawn at friendly held point, or on the leader of your squad, he is the green dot on the spawn screen, you may have to click a couple times on spawn points before it will work, sometime a glitch stops you from selecting the point the first time. If the point is red you cant spawn there till it is white, and if your squad leader is in a full vehicle you wont be able to spawn on him till someone gets out or he gets out
