Looks like I'll just have to cross my fingers and put my future in the hands of EA...

Check for other threads from owners of similar hardware. Look at this thread. Maybe they have found a workaround. I saw a thread today that said they solved their problem by reformatting their hard drive and reinstalling everything. One of the silliest posts I've seen. The reformat and reinstall of latest drivers just solved something that could have been solved without something so drastic and time consuming. Why use chemotherapy to cure the common cold.

Ok so I figured out the problem. Last night I went on to play and I had the same issue again, even though an hour and a half earlier I had no problems. Well I closed out my norton anti-virus and that did it, no more lag spikes from that point forth. I think its pretty retarded that a virus program would cause such a random problem, but either way its fixed and that's all I care about. Thanks again for the help folks.
