For me Bumping my res up too 1280x1024 and turning AA off, gives me a better picture (less fuzz) and more frames.

I have a 6600GT and I noticed this:

Example: -all medium and AA full throttle = great gaming, no lag, great grafics...
-high on everything except terrain and light options = great grafic also but the reflection on the snipers scope just dissapears...is the GFXboard "limiting" something for performance issues???

oh well back on medium, high shadow, and full AA....I just love the details...

It basically just removes the jagged lines in the game, like on building edges etc

I prefer high resolution. 1600x1200 2x AA. It doesn't really need AA but on the other hand enabling it decreases framerate only 5% or so. With high res in a game like Battlefield spotting snipers mile away and shooting distant targets is much easier. For example with 1024x768 you can't even see some targets you see clearly with higher resolution. That's what resolution is all about actually. If you have a decent graphric card, I'd recommend decreasing other options and increasing res.

Yeah I play at 1024x768 with AAx2 Mostly Mediums with a couple of highs. Remember is does matter if you have a plat panel as well. If it is a 17 or 19 inch it will have a native resolution of 1280x1024, so you will want to game at that. If you go lower, it will start interpolating and look like total Poo....

I play my game with settings as low as I can stand them to get the highest FPS and no stutter. Sure I don't have the "wow, that looks nice" moments I used to have, but I also don't have the "wow what a ******** lag kill" moments I used to have, either.
