Auto Enter

Whenever I attempt to startup BF2, it will automatically take me to an open server, whether it's really active or not. Is there anyway I can disable that? I just want to login, then pick the server I want to enter, not let it pick a server, and then have to back out of that server, before I can choose.

Does this make sense?

Are you clicking the icon for BF2 or the BF2 Play Now Icon? If you click the latter it will start a game for you based on ping and players.
