Unlocking weapons on single player?

I have long wanted to do this but I still havent figured it out...
How do you get unlocks on single player?

ive done this before but will it mess with my multiplayer character or ruin the online game in any way?

Nope. It doesn't affect online play at all.

because its a different mod, so it doesn't affect bf2 vanila @ all

As long as you don't have a modified file in your mods\bf2 folder it won't be a problem. If you install the downloaded mod it will be fine since it is in it's own mod folder. If you mod it yourself you either need to make a mod folder for yourself or copy the original zip file back before you play online.
