Seems like what I do every round I manage to get an APC/tank. It's certainly a winning formula to get at least 35-55 kills a round with only a death or two. More importantly, it's just playing plain smart, and should be rewarded by a round of asskicking.

Goes something like this:

Spawn, grab the APC/tank. Move forward to first enemy spawn, request supply crate behind you, spawn rape the enemies first flag from a distance preferably behind a building of some sort that you can use as a giant anti-tank shield. Keep suppressing the flag till your team captures it. Once they do move up to the next flag, request another crate in an ideal location and rinse repeat till your team wins. If you get to injured and/or your crate gets destroyed pop smoke, retreat, repair, and head back to the spawn.

That's basic tank whoring 101.

Some easy methods to counter this type of spawn suppression tank whoring (and typically what gets me killed 100% of the time) is to either get 2-3 AT rockets together in a squad and fire them all at once, aiming for the treads. A much easier method would be to simply throw grenades towards the supply crate till it's destroyed and then work the tank down with TOW/AT/ect.

Bottom line to the OP, while he used a very effective strategy, it is also one that is extremely easy to counter, and yet you failed to accomplish that one simple task. Spawn suppression and even uncap raping is all part of the game, either adapt and counter it or get the beating you deserve.

The guy was doing exactly what he should be doing in a tank, ie providing fire support and suppressing the enemy from a distance while killing as many people as possible. You don't cap flags with tanks because it's C4 suicide. What's the guy in the tank supposed to do, sit back and let you guys spawn because your team sucks? People who whine about tanks doing what they are designed to do provide great entertainment. When I'm in a tank and the enemy has one flag left, there's nothing better than sitting about 100 meters away with a couple of supply boxes around me and blowing the **** out of the enemy (in other words, YOU) until we cap your last flag. Awwww, the big bad tank killed you as soon as you spawned. I guess he should have been playing with himself until your team managed to capture another flag. LOL. Moral of the story: having one flag left to spawn at is nature's way of telling you that your team sucks. Nothing you can do but take the medicine (and complain about it on a forum).

You know what I love. On wake island if you're US forces and you take over the whole map accept the one flag leading to the air base. You get your commander to drop a supply box and you hop in your tank and just sit there all day blasting stuff away. I got something like 35-40 kills in a round and I normally suck.

If you want to use armor alot that's fine, but when you just park it at a spawn point and fire away, then that's whoring; especially on Karkand.

Most people who play Karkand do so because it's mostly infantry, thus a high percentage of infantry only combat.

Other people play Karkand so they can use armor and park next to a supply crate and mow down helpless infantry with scarcely a challenge from enemy armor. If you love armor so much, play armored fury for some more challenging armor vs. armor combat; or are you too afraid to hurt your precious K/D.

I've had crap like this before. Mostly Karkand, and tehre was this one time where a guy in an APC literally camped the shiz out of us, sitting directly behind a spawn point (the one opposite the hotel, other side of the street) with his reticle on the heads of troops as they spawn. If he's too good of a driver, just leave. Tards like that take the fun out of games. If you can catch him without a tank, waiting for one to spawn, take him out with a pistol or anti-tank SMG and remark on how skilless he is outside his precious titanium box.

Guys, you have to be smarter than the guy in the tank, but you need to work as a squad to be successful. Never spawn on the same point you just got wasted by a tank whore spawn killer, come back at him from another angle, but with a couple friends and rockets. Works everytime.

If people are spwan camping on a map like karkand in tanks i will go to the admin and ask them to come and see what is happening i am fed up of people sitting there camping a spawn in a tank, these people do it for the stats and nothing else it seems. In my eyes you dont need a tank on a map like karkand only for getting to A-B. If there was not tanks on karkand we would not have problems people would still have jeeps to get to bases, i just dont see the point of using a tank or apc on a map like karkand especially if they rape. Also a little of topic WHY does everyone throw grenades at the start of the round on karkand yeah its funny to see all those grenade points but its not if your MEC as there are 64 grenades comming at you at your spawn point. Sinse EA got rid of C4 throwing and other stuff like jumping and then shooting i have seen loads of people throwing grenades, Would this happen in the real world???
