    Windows Media OS?

    Hey guys, I been wondering because I want to completely wipe my harddrive with a new OS Windows Media XP or stick with teh WIndows XP Home with Service Package 2.


    So what should I go for?

    It's basically the same...you just have to disable a couple of the running services that eat up some resources.

    If you're going to use your PC in your living room hooked up to a big plasma or LCD TV, then go for it.

    If you're only sitting in your study/office/computer room with a regular sized monitor..then don't bother.

      Also the 2006 version of XP Media, the networking capabilities have been disabled. So if you plan on using it alone, your good.

        if your going to get a new OS id get windows xp pro 64bit i run it on a seperate hard drive with xp home and its ALOT quicker and smoother!
