I looked to see if anyone had posted this (didnt see anyone) ,but is their anyone out their that runs a pistols and knife only map or anything like that.

They consider it Stat Padding, like playing on a High Points Server (16 players on a 64 player map). Since the ranks are a large incentive to play the game, and therefore pay money for servers, people who exploit their way to higher ranks are punished as if they had hacked the code itself. EA/DICE would want a Expert Pistol badge to mean the same thing for a guy who got it by emergency use as opposed to the guy who got it by playing a High Points Pistol Server.Originally posted by pornstarscout

Also things like knife badges are hard to get. Personally I only knife when the opportunity presents itself, but many people seek the badge. A server where you only use knives, pistols, paddles, could get you expert knife in no time. Since Gunnery Sergeants like you and me, pornstarscout (lol), need the knife and pistol badge, amongst others, to get first sergeant, it should be hard to get. First sergeant and sergeant major require certain badges in order to get them, they should be hard to get, or at least harder than the vanilla ranks. You should earn them through skill.Comment

Being a one of those obsessive/compulsive people who yearn for 100% Completion ranks on my games, I had to get the better rank, and therefor the knife/pistol badges. I also got a nasty negative K/D Ratio from this, but my reactions were dramatically improved by the ordeal. Oh, and knives will not cut tanks. LOL, I'm the same. If I hadn't gotten the knife badge by the time I was closer to 20k I would have tried for it. The pistol badge I got just cause I use the pistol often (reloading takes time).Originally posted by MavlynComment

I'm down in South Florida. Land of sun, fun, and morons.
I like the DAO now that I've used it properly. I try to kill from as far as possible, so I hated it, but today I was in Karkand and had no alternative but to rush people...nothing like taking out four people at a time.
I can't tell you how many times I've killed some noob running at me from 20 meters away with his knife out! DON'T TAKE OUT THE KNIFE UNTILL YOU ARE GOING TO USE IT!!Comment

Just a quick thought.
If I want to get the expert knife badge in a round, I do have to play with the knife pulled out at all time. Why isn't this considered stat padding? This is not normally how I would play the game. I do this to get the badge.Comment
