Is there a way to shutoff the radio in BF2?

Get sick of hearing the

enemy spotted
hostile chopper spotted
enemy infantry spotted
etc etc etc

spammed so much. Any way to shut it off or maybe just lose the voice?

If someone spams the radio too much, the server(game??) will temporarily disable them, as for shutting them off, turn the volume down

come on we need to organise action against this radio spam so it can be fixed in the next patch !

not true for commanders ... and turning down your volume will cause you to miss that bullet impact next to you or the *pling* of the nade which just droped in your back ... we DO need a true on/off switch ...
