Tanks' main gun firing question

If i remember right, before patch 1.2
we can fire the tank cannon like this:
After firing a shot, keep pressing and holding the mouse button, the next shot will be fired as soon as the reload is complete.

After 1.2, the pressing & holding won't fire the next shot. we have to keep tapping the mouse button like crazy(or just wait for the reload is done) to get the next shot fired.

Everybody else experienced the same ? or is this just me(could be i messed the controls.con file)

Never tried, I always just press button like crazy.

You're correct. Before the patch, press and hold worked. Now you have to keep hitting it. Yet another anooying little makes no sense bug introduced by the recent patch.I really hope they someday use testers who play the game and KNOW how things are supposed to work.

Yep i think EA should announce that in the patch release note.
Last night, tanks battle at Karkand. After my tank suck in the 2nd hit, I think i gonna win with one last shot. So i press and hold with a little confident smile. BUT...
Damn... my main gun did NOT fire. JAMMED? then the screen brought me to the spwan menu

So do NOT press and hold from now on dudes.

That why I dont do it, it doesnt always work, i just wait till its reloaded, line up the shot the kill.

What about after you fire you let go and then press and hold again.
That was it might register a "release" of the trigger and still fire when it ready.
Will it work then?

i won't work either.
It's more fun this way. i meant keep hitting the mouse button like crazy. The last struggling b4 respwaning :)

that's odd.. I never knew that..

I always just pressed the fire button again the moment the reload was complete.

Never realized it. Usually just listeing for the round to be loaded and the icon to change. then fire again.
