I'm one kill from hitting my next rank and these are my last two weapons to get from their tiers. I haven't had a chance to use either of them especially the G3 after the patch so any advice on what would be a better one to pick would be nice.

g3 is the better choice but it depends on your style of play
the jackhammer is great but the pump action shotguns are one shot instant kills so if you play engineer - you would choose the latter not the former -

The jackhammer is one arguably of the least useful unlocks in the game. The G3 has come into it's own since the patch. It hits harder than any other assualt rifle, you get hand grenades, and I find the smoke grenades to be more useful than flashbangs.
A tip tho: Do NOT attempt long bursts with the G3. It's accuracy falls of very quickly and with it's short clips, it's easy to burn through all your ammo way to damned fast.Comment

It really depends on your style of play. I have both and I must say the Jackhammer is the best on Warlord. I’m able to get about 40-50 points with it because you can rush up on people and unload a 3 round burst faster then they can prone. Plus you can drop mines and get some nice kills especially if you catch 3-4 guys in a vehicle. However the G3 is also good, it does have a lot of stopping power, just a short clip. Decide how you play and what class you prefer and your unlock should be an easier choice. Good Luck and congratulations on ranking up.Comment
