Heli pilot permanently dropping flares

any1 else come across this.. ive seen it on 2 servers so far

the enemy pilot was permanently dropping flares making it impossible to lock onto him.. he had no reload time at all on them

now the 1st server i saw it on the guy was banned
but the 2nd server said it was a bug, so they couldnt kick him, but some1 later said that "yes" it was a bug, but u have to press certain keys to make it happen. now if this is the case ,then surely by pressing the keys ur cheating ..

any1 else seen this.. wots ur opinion ??

Even if it is a bug he should'nt be using it, it's an exploit and against EA's TOS or something.

i think there was a hack like this, a couple patches ago... not 100% sure but i remember this coming up...

I saw it the first time i was trying the 1.2. At first i thought they really changed the helo flare to counter the improved AA but soon i realized it was just a glitch.

You can still hit N kill them even when they are dropping flares. Fact (sadly)

It's a bug in BF2 1.2 patch. Should be fixed in 1.21.

I've came accross this on Sharqi the other day. Guy was raping TV station and I couldn't lock on him. He knew he had constant flares cause he wasn't even attepnting to evade or kill me while I was in the AA. Just hoovered at the same spot constantly dropping flares while his gunner was raping everyone that spawned.
