There has seemed to be a lot of press regarding professional gaming lately (or maybe I have been noticing it more). Many of the programs have featured Counterstrike. It would seem to me that a game would need to be fairly free of bugs to be used in this capacity. Is there an accepted standard for a game to be used in professional gaming circuits? Is BF2 being used in professional gaming tournaments? Pardon my naivety, I am just curious.

There has been some small tournaments with monetary prizes. But the scene isn't very large and is mostly 8vs8.Originally posted by SoCalCazThere has seemed to be a lot of press regarding professional gaming lately (or maybe I have been noticing it more). There does not seem to be any CPL teams for BF2, but there are CAL BF2 teams. Funny how Call of Duty 2 is in the CPL tourney list but not BF2. Says a lot about BF2, IMOComment
