another thing whilst im on..

to quote from the official weapons description for the M95..

"The M95 is the most massive sniper rifle to date it fires .50 cal ammunition and is one of the few handheld weapons that is known to penetrate armoured glass such as used in helicopter cockpits"..

Has anyone managed to kill the pilot or co pilot of an enemy chopper with the M95?
I have recently made this one of my personel objectives ..However, I am experiencing great difficulty in trying to complete this task..
Can anyone confirm that it is indeed possible?
Or is it as i suspect and that i am just a poor shot with said rifle ?

Yes, I can confirm it's possible with the M95. I did it on a Blackhawk once and a few times on a Vodnik. It's fun, if you manage to do it!

I also have managed to pick off many a passenger in blackhawk but can you confirm it was the pilot you shot..You actually scored a kill through the cockpit glass?

Yes. It's good for taking out choppers while they're hovering over a flag. VERY hard to do while it's in motion. It's nice to take out the pilot first, have the copilot realize he was shot out and then take the same seat and take him out too!!

I've done it to where we could take the helicopter from them at a flag they landed at! That is just like stealing a tank from the enemy trying to repair it!!

ive killed a mec chopper pilot in flight once when the thing was full but it didnt come right down, it started spinning in the air until someone took the pilot seat

I've done it twice when I first unlocked it but then I stoped using it because the M24 was so much more accurate but it should be eaiser to do now that the accuracy has been improved. It's still not the easiest thing to do in the world especialy if the chopper is moving. If they are hovering, that is your best time to try to get the shot off.

Yes m8 ,

It is possible and requiers a bit or practice or expierence i guess .

I been quite succesfull in some rounds takin down transport and attack choppers comming in :)

Also when we would get wiped of teh earth by jets we tend to deploy a sniper squad at their crarrier/airfield and take out jets/choppers with it when theytake off : the most effective Anti-Air squad i ever witnissed

I shot more tha a few pilots, lol, used the M95 over 80 hours now, it's the best powerwise. Makes me Hard!

As a crappy sniper player, I was impressed that I took out a Hind from a flay away, that was on the move. Bye bye pilot and hello to panicking gunner.

I shot down 5 people people all in a row in a Cobra. They were all camping for it, and each time I killed the pilot they kept taking his place. Pilots are retards.

Definitely possible! I've done it once to a MEC chopper pilot in motion on Operation Cleansweep. By far and away the easiest way to do it though, is to sneak onto the US carrier and snipe people as they get into jets or helos. Evil, but very amusing to see them panic when they respawn. Dump a few claymores at the ladders for some added amusement when they try to retaliate...
