The why can't we enjoy it thread...

BF2, yes...we have put so much time into this game and (for most) have had a blast. I haven't had the insane amount of complaints that have been cropping up since the beginning of the game (don't really have the time I wish I could put into it.)

In liew if recent events (the 1.2 patch) yet again the complaints regarding the patch have over taken the forums page after page. Now I am all for peoples opinions on what is taking place within the game since the patch. The game has taken a new lease on life for me and I have been putting in a little time now since the patch. I have been having an absolute blast! I have just been ground pounding (like always) and having so much fun!

My whole point to this post is:

I just want to hear from the people that have been havin a good time with this game since it was released. Yes! We all know that games will have issues upon release but that should come as no suprise for a game that creates such absolute carnage online so there is bound to be issues.

Anyways, all ranting aside....anyone who has just had a good time playing with good people share your thoughts on this pointless post towards an all around fun game!

Well I am a realist no dreamer in those cases, Battlefield 2 is for me the best MP game around. There is no game better than that imho, so I play this game. Ofcourse it has some problems, but it's getting better everything imo. Therefore I will play this game and won't switch over. If you don't like it, you can switch to another game, but for me BF2 is the best game, so I play that.

I play BF2 in quite an advanced way in a tournament (European Battlefield Command), I train people, I lead people and fight with people... I really love that, this enlarges my BF2 experience. Besides that I play public quite often and love being squadleader and medic of a squad and using TS to communicate with.

That's my positive speech :) .

I didn't really like it at first, but I've actually been having fun both ground pounding and flying the chopper. And no, my scores (KD, SPM) have not suffered. SSSssssoooo sorry all those who thought this was the end of pilots. Some of us have what are called SKILLZ (both on foot and in the air)

No, I was more on the AA's glitches need to be fixed movement. However, you are correct that at the very beginning I thought they were way too accurate, but time told the truth.

I've being playing the game much more now that the 1.2 patch has been released. After yeats of playing Enemy Territory as engineer I can at least do that same in BF2.
True, it's a shame that the game had to be modified in such a way to allow FF on for AT mines. DiCE always wanted the game to be as real as possible but due to so many people running over so many mnes and punishing and kicking so many people it had to be changed.

Now a 6-person squad can really defend a flag from attack. The entrances get mined, the support guy can actually kill people from a distance and the choppers have to actually work to avoid enemy ground fire.

I've played in rounds where jets get wasted every 10 seconds and others where the pilots has learned and adapted and have finishde with top scores. Now when I get killed by a jet it's because there's a good chance that the pilot is a good one and knows how to fly properly and it honestly doesn't feel as bad to be killed by them now then it was before :)

I heard about battlefield 2 and thought it sounded cool. i hadnt owned or played a pc for about a decade and thought i should give it a go. i went out and bought a new pc [i knew very little about pc's] which i thought had ripping specs. i installed bf2 and began playing single player, it was awesome. i then got a high speed connection installed. i wondered why my pc graphics didnt look like the ones i had been seeing in stores, i soon found out that the pc i bought wasnt really powerful enough. each week from then on i started to quietly hide cash from my missus and began buying new bits and pieces to build up a machine i was happy about. my missus found out about the cash and with all the time i was playing gave me the ultimatum. i have cut back playing as much as i was but the threat was worth it. i love this game, however i do find the amount of hours some people are playing quite disturbing.

I love the new patch:
You can actually protect the carriers now from base raping planes!
I have flown the atack helis also and you actualy have to try and avoid enemy fire! And do some damage to them rather than just run and hide.
And as infantry you do not seem to get hit every 30 yards with a bomb from a jet!

i think this game is the best around. Although i dont really agree with some of EA's tactics,but then im no marketing guru i just play the game and enjoy it.

It wasnt really my type of game as i more like WW2 genre but bf2 got me hooked!. Just cant wait for a decent WW2 mod to come out for it :P

Of all the things related to BF2 the thing thats plain frustrated me most has been the community not the game itself lol.

Yup for all its problems/patching/bug history so far
i think this game is the best around. Although i dont really agree with some of EA's tactics,but then im no marketing guru i just play the game and enjoy it.

It wasnt really my type of game as i more like WW2 genre but bf2 got me hooked!. Just cant wait for a decent WW2 mod to come out for it :P
