    UAV question

I was playing a few rounds last night, and i thought i'de try to shoot down a UAV, just to see what it takes to down them. so i went to the distance marker on the dround, looked up, but there was no UAV.

do i need to set my graphics higher to be able to see them? cause if i do, then forget about it. my graphics are on low all around because putting them up means the inability to play. ("benefits" of a 5 year old computer)

    Re: UAV question

You should be able to see them on low settings. When your commander lays the UAV, Go to area and look abopve. Take your time as it flys in a wide circle above the area.

      Re: UAV question

The marker has nothing to do with the UAV, it's a bug that has no purpose what so ever. You just proved it.

If you want to shoot down the UAV look up in the sky for the words UAV, they can be seen pretty far.

            Re: UAV question

            You can destroy it.

If you see it circling, hopefully the red one, just start shooting at it. A vehicle like the HMMV or the Vodnik works the best.

Was quite clearly stated in the run-up to the patch release.

                OOOOH! GROOOOOOVY!!!
Eh, thing is- I play BF2 at the net cafe, so I tend not to get too up-n-personal about the specs of the patches. But I sure hope the net cafe I go to continue to update their BF2 with the latest patch.

Say... with the patch download- there's 2 options; the huge patch download which is about 300-something Mb (I am assuming for people with a fresh copy of BF2 that have had no patches/updates whatsoever or not the previous patch for the game). And then there's the 'incremental patch' which is significantly smaller (which I assume for people who have the previous patches already). Am I right? this way, I can stop complaining to the net-cafe manager about the 300Mb download taking ages and causing everyone else's computers to lag :P

I'm 40 points away from being Staff Sargeant... mmm... new unlocks... I cannot wait, so I MUST know about these patches!!!

1.2 full is for people who do not have any of the previous patches installed.
1.2 incremental is for people who already have 1.12 installed

If someone can't see UAV, increase view distance.

do we get any points for shooting them down?
(I know it would be a generally good idea as it is lighting you up on the map!)
