    Gripes of 1.2

When I first installed and played this patch, I thought it was awesome. No more TKs from my claymores, jets and helicopters have been pushed back to a secondary role, and no more dolphin divers and grenadelaunching whores...

However, after a few days of playing and many people adapting to the changes, the battlefield has just gotten worse; lamers will always find a way to be lame.

So here are my major whines - the support class and prone-standing.

The PKM & SAW are ridiculously overpowered now, and are more accurate at a crouching position than they were in a prone position in 1.12. In reality, PKMs are very heavy and firing from any other position instead of prone wouldn't produce such accuracy as seen in 1.2. Since the new patch, one may think of the PKM/SAW as automatic M95s. Not to mention they have infinite ammo/grenades and body armor. (Battlefield Vietnam M60 problem all over again).

Now onto one of the lamest of things - prone-standing. Think the dolphin-divers will play normally now the patch fixes it? Nope. Now they just go prone and crouch and maybe stand repeatedly. It's not too popular yet, but like dolphin-diving, it will catch on.

And one last gripe that I haven't confirmed yet but a few of my friends have agreed on - more lag. I thought 1.2 was supposed to be optimized, but I get lag problems more often on EA servers than prior to the patch (which used to be flawless). And one of my friends I have asked about this told me, "It says 60 fps but I feel like I'm running at 15."

Also earlier today I saw the red/blue nametag bug on an EA server. I had never seen it on an EA server before 1.2.

I agree on all of that.

The havent really noticed a difference in the accuracy of the supports weapons but since i havent used them much to find out i can't really comment.

The prone then standing up and down really quickly is started to **** me off.. how about when you go prone now that you lose half of your energy to stop this dumb stuff.

I used to get 80-120 latency now , its usually around 30-60 but you never know it could just be my isp.

And yes the red/bue nametab bug still hasnt been fixed.. i don't think it will every get fixed

I dont have a problem at all with the support weapons or killing the guys holding them. I have seen a lot of complaing but the usual kits seem to be in place. We will see I guess.

Actually, a SAW is quite accurate from one knee.

Keep in mind that I'm not complaining about the PKM because I'm getting killed by it, I'm complaining because I have been using it all day. Getting 95 points on Sharqi without stepping foot in a heli, tank, or jeep (and being a rambo one-man-army) for that matter is certainly abnormal.

I said PKM, not SAW. SAW is pretty damn good in reality, but it should be balanced in a game.

I think the weapons are pretty balanced now personally, and the AA is ...'whatever'. It's playable, everyone adapts...blah blah, but what needs attention is the functionality of the game itself.

            Like:

            1) Red bug....worse than ever IMO
            2) Can only make one squad sometimes (maybe just U.S)
            3) Can't leave a squad sometimes
            4) Phantom Rockets
            5) And this just in (as far as I know)...applying for commander, and never getting the confirmation to decline or accept. This is a first for me. I play a lot of commander.
            6) Claymores sometimes blow up friendlies when server has FF off on them(not sure if this was designed that way or not) and I'm not talking collateral damage either....team mate walks right over it and dies. Seems rare, but happens.
