Problem with ventrilo while playing bf2

Well, sometimes when I load a map (usually during or a bit after verifying client data), my mic stops working on ventrilo, and vent gives me this error message:

Sound input device has been closed.
It was sending data faster than it should be.

Try enabling the 'Use DirectSound for input device' option.

    I already had directsound enabled.
    I have a SB Audigy 2 ZS.

i get an error similar to this when I close BF2, but it goes away in a milisecond and I only hear the error sound, somehow once I SAW it tho.

if you have your card as the hardware input mixer, select none as the mixer and it should be ok. i had this problem i dont think it like soundblaster as hardware mixers for some reason

This happens to me a lot when I set BF2 to "High Priority" in the taskmanager.
