Sure, I'll Tk, when it is brought on me. If someone else gets the jet first, I don't cry about it, I get another vehicle and just play the game... but when some fool DEMANDS the jet is his when I get there first, tough for him. If that's you, tough for you.

If you stand in front of my jet, or the like, and force me to teamkill you when I get the jet, just to hurt me in some twisted little way, keep this in mind.

If the jet is parked at the runway, and I see your head in the pilot's helmet, I am going to cap you with the M95.

Why? I hear you ask?

Well if I have to suffer a teamkill and a punish ANYWAY, I am GETTING that jet.

I hope the next patch makes all those that TK people out of jets unable to enter a vehicle for the rest of that round, would solve all stupidity once and for all.

Meh.

I don't particularly mind if people disagree with my point of view. I'm not a greedy player, and am not obsessed with the jets. I'm quite content to be on the ground as well.

It's all about people thinking the world owes them something. Well I don't owe anyone, anything. Respect is hard earned, and easily lost. If you blow up my jet with C4, or gls, or whatever... that's fine. YOu can play that way, I'll play mine.

And as for 'not letting anyone in the jet if they TK... well, you can't solve it that way... as I said, people will stand on the runway to force you to TK, meaning you won't get the jet... even though you did nothing wrong.

Hm... Metasynaptic- your starting post on this thread made me see you as a horrible 'jet whore' and 'moronic TKer vehicle whore'. You could just explain yourself a LITTLE bit better next time :P so then us friendly TotalBF2 goers don't go on personal vendettas looking for you

But yes, I agree that a vehicle 'queue' should be put in. And people who stand on runways should have points deducted from themselves for being stupid. After all- it IS logic that you step off the runway when an aircraft is to take off... rather than try to stop the afterburners with your bare hands.

Heh heh heh. Yeah you did sound like an absolute tosser earlier. But I do know what you're on about. I persistently tell people to respect aircraft queues and etc. But you know how it goes, there are some horrible noobs about who need to go to 'TK BootCamp' (i.e: restricting gameplay to SINGLEPLAYER, until they pick up their act).

Too bad you can't use the 'Vehicle Queue trick' (driving a buggy or any car to the launch pad of a helicopter so people can't get into the spawned aircraft immediately by holding down 'E'). Since the jet needs to run forwards before taking off.

MetaSynaptic- have you ever played on the Raging Rebels server? it's ranked, and they got enough rules which the admins actually enforce (i.e: base-raping, and uncappable base-spawn-camping). I believe vehicle queues is one of them.

I generally play on un-policed Gamearena servers. I have opinions about spawn camping too... it should be allowed in some cases. I mean really... the Essex has two death cannons... it's hardly my fault if noone bothers to man them.

It's still very annoying the whole Jet thing, the other day on Daqing the other pilots were 20-0 and 24-1, their chopper team was also having a ball.

There was a normal load of nonsense going on over the Jets but they were getting killed a lot. Fine I thought I'll get on with it.

After being bombed three times, killed by the fighter once and taken down by a chopper twice I thought ok my turn now. Forget it still they wanted to fly, honestly, top 200 ranked pilot on their team being battered to death from above and still they want to try and fly. I watched them on the map, take off, fly to enemy base, die, respawn, tk for plane again.

Ohh and if it's a sniper waiting for the plane you just know it's going to long day :)

It's actually rather a good point, if somoene is going to throw themselfs in front of your jet as you take off and give you a TK, then you might as well TK them before the jet spawns and get in and take off.

At least that way you definatly get the jet (if theres only 2 of you)

Something I'd probably do if the guy was always jumping in front of me non stop. I shot some other n00b the other day, we were both running for a tank and I was clearly closer and he started shooting me just before I got into the tank, lost about half health before I got in, thankfully he was standing just in front of the tank barrel, so in an act of retaliation i sent him flying. I don't have time for people who TK simply to get vehicles, no one owns the vehicles.

Although I do think it's respectful to other players NOT to steal a vehicle they got out of to repair or to help others, numerous times i've jumped out of a tank or APC to revive a fallen comrade and been met with some bunnyhopping idiot prancing around and diving straight into the tank before I can climb back in.
