I have 300+ hours of gameplay and my score never was affected by TK punishes.

I get -4 for teamkills; -2 for teamdamage and -1 for teamvehicle damage
But the punishes apparently are only used to kick you after reaching a certain limit.

Sometimes u may get like -6 for a teamkill, but actually its -2 for a teamdamage and -4 for the teamkill; the PUNISH does no effect.

Still, some guys are just too stubborn and keep saying "Hey, its in the files, punishes will decrease your score by 2 (or by 4 depending on the storyteller)".

So, whats your opinion?

So maybe I'm not understanding...I'm a visual learner all this reading is buggin me ;-) You're saying the initial minus is all you are getting penalized for. IE: team damage teamkill etc. The extra punish does nothing but get you closer to being kicked and not the extra -pts.? Hmm I would actually now like tihs tested cause I'm curious to the outcome.

EDIT: Re-read..slower this time...I see what you're saying bout the teamdamage is logged then then kill. That's probably it and where I was confused. Sorry.

OK, I'm from the other side of the coin.
A punish will affect your score. Punish rules are different from server to server.
Different TK kick counts, or no TK kick at all.
Different minus score for kills. (upto -6 for a TK) *on a server with punish off

Ive had many -8 after I TK one person who then punished. No team damage recorded. I am aware that team damage don't always appear in text.
If I'm wrong then please explain how a person can get a -6 score from TKing one person and no other friendlies around. Before you should team damage, the kill was from C4.

It's stupid how punishes count towards kicks. If you're playing on a server for a long time, eventually you're going to get kicked, which is what happens to me. Or in the good old days of commander TKs, I'd get kicked all the time for one bad artillery shot.

There ya go. Notice, after the punish the score stays the same.

There are numerous reasons why people see -8 after getting a tk. For example, say you blow up a hummer and a friendly with low health walks by the wreckage when it explodes again and kills them. Things like that could happen after the fact and then make it seem like a punish actually affected your score.

If you tk someone with C4, you may have also damaged numerous teammates in the process.

yes,once i was playing strike at karkand and i just got 2 tk and got kicked from a server

Ive had a -8 from Taking one person, with a nob tube, no others about. I would find it hard to believe that I also got two -2 team damage.
Gotta say, I ain't had a -8 for a long while, but I used to get it all the time once.
