Probably for the most I would say if you need to come to this forum for help with lag issues you probably dont undestand the amount of trouble spyare causes.

1st Reformat your computer

2nd Get a good firewall if you dont already have one

3rd If your still having lag and ping problems its probably because the only servers left running 1.12 are on the opposite side of the world to you.

4th If its still like this consider getting yourself another gig of ram 1 gig just doesn't really cut it in BF2

Here is all the help you need seriuosly it sounds like you have spyware or a virus hogging you bandwidth and ram plus if your running high settings YOU NEED 2 gig.

your asking for help and ppl are offering advice and your still making more and more threads and not paying attention. NOW GO GET YOU SYSTEM RESTORE DISKS I DONT WANT TO SEE YOU BACK HERE TILL THAT IS DONE :P
